Verónica, born in Chile but living in Mexico since 1973, studied graphic design, a profession she has practiced alongside photography for decades. Her drive to capture landscapes—natural, rural, and urban—has led her to focus on the intrinsic purity of a solitary tree, the silent beauty of a decaying facade, the peace hidden behind the fog, and the everyday secrets—seemingly nonexistent—that live inside and outside the windows and doors she passes, as life takes her around the world, always seeking to speak to her lens.
In recent years, she began working with plants, seeking to record the passage of time and delving into the details of life’s fragility through the veins and transparencies of flowers and leaves, creating alchemy with them and capturing a kind of immortalization of that fleeting beauty.
